MEMBERSHIP&INSURANCE SERVICE GENERALIST

Job Description:


This is a AAA ACA Member Services Center Company Membership & Insurance Service agent provides a key contact point to transact business for AAA members and insurance policyholders. Agent responds to telephone inquiries regarding account processing or billing status, new applications, and policy change requests. Agent processes new business, endorsements and cancellation information.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Products / Services Handled: Membership and Sales Servicing, Basic Membership and Billing Payments, Auto Insurance Servicing (trained at later date).
Primary Responsibilities:
Communicates benefits of membership to prospective members,
Opens new accounts,
Processes routine membership and auto insurance inquiries and transactions, including renewals and edits of membership accounts
Endorses Auto policy changes with premium impacts
Completes necessary auto insurance paper forms (cancellation requests, lien holder statements, loss payee, and request for additional information, etc.)
Processes basic member and policyholder billing inquiries. (discretionary power within defined threshold)
Responds to and resolves basic member and policy holder complaints
Maintains a high level of service with policyholders and meets performance targets
Secondary Responsibility

Provides assistance to policyholders utilizing cross sell opportunities when appropriate
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Clear verbal and written communication in English
Basic mathematical, typing (35 wpm minimum), computer (basic usage and functions) and data entry skills
Basic computer (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.), relevant applications (e.g., MemberPoint, Mileage Calculator etc.), and telephone skills
General awareness of AAA products, and detailed knowledge of Membership and Auto Insurance products
Comprehension and ability to apply CSAA underwriting guidelines
Familiarity with csaa.com features and functionality
Understands and applies sales techniques
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills <lieAbility to identify customer needs and recommend solutions Application of good judgment and decision making Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Prior Experience / Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year prior customer service experience is preferred, especially in personal lines insurance environment or prior AAA
