Manufacturing Associate I/II/III/IV

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:





To conduct manufacturing and polymer development tasks.



MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Perform manufacturing/synthesis under cGMP


Assist in polymer manufacturing equipment maintenance


Assist in equipment qualification studies


Assist in performance of R&D development programs


Clean cGMP equipment


The following duties and responsibilities would be included at the higher levels:



Create/modify and review Standard Operating Procedures and Manufacturing Batch Records


Review equipment and facility log books


Maintain records and clean room environment in compliance with regulatory requirements, GMP, and SOP's

REQUIREMENTS:



BS/MS in Chemistry preferred. Will consider some college coursework with 5+ years of relevant experience, or, 2-4 year non-science degree with some science coursework and 2+ years of relevant experience


Minimum of 0-5 years of directly related experience (w/o degree)



Minimum of 0-2 years of directly related experience (w/degree)



Must be computer literate to include basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel



Must have an understanding of chemicals and chemical hazards and the proper handling of materials



Must possess mechanical aptitude and be able to use various types of equipment and procedures including: vacuum pumps, vacuum ovens, gas lines and bubblers, automatic overhead stirrers, ovens, stir plates, vacuum distillations, simple distillations, balances, pH meters, and glassware maintenance



Must have good documenting skills for R&D and custom projects



Basic lab techniques



Understanding of cGMP regulations and experience in clean room work environment is desirable.
The following skills would be required at the higher levels:



Requires an understanding of properties of different types of polymers in order to dissolve, precipitate and grind each kind properly.


Must have good documentation skills for R&D and custom projects.
