Manufacturing Manager, Cranial Technologies





Cranial Technologies Inc, a privately held $15 Million company with plans to grow to $30 Million, is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager based out of our Tempe/Phoenix headquarters.





Cranial Technologies is the leading innovator of medical devices used in the treatment of deformational plagiocephaly (abnormal head shape) in infants. Our DOC Band was the first device to be cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is the only device with clinical studies demonstrating safety and effectiveness. We invented both the manufacturing process and clinical (treatment) aspects of the Band and during the past 15 years, we have treated over 30,000 infants with plagiocephaly. Currently, we own twelve clinics in the US and one in London.

Manufacturing is centralized at our corporate headquarters in Tempe, Arizona. All of our energy is focused on the production of one product requiring three specialty manufacturing groups: technology/milling; vacuum forming plastic; and finishing.





The position of Manufacturing Manager requires a significant amount of communication, training, mentoring and leadership with employees from all aspects of manufacturing. In addition, this individual will need to be an effective link between manufacturing and the rest of the organization. A strong fit with our culture is essential. Requirements:





* Bachelors degree along with 10 years of progressive work experience. Mandatory ?3-5 years of direct responsibility overseeing entire manufacturing process.


* Proven experience leading and cultivating large teams of employees


* Self motivated, goal oriented and results driven.


* Experience in developing and implementing employee training programs.


* Ability to coach, mentor and develop a strong team atmosphere


* Basic/fundamental computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, etc)


* Experience with Quality Systems (ISO, Six Sigma, QSR, etc)





Responsibilities:


* Direct Management of a 25-30 member manufacturing team (hiring, training, scheduling, and team-building).


* Oversee daily Operation of manufacturing facility including monitoring of production flows, staffing, raw materials/components, etc.


* Direct and supervise all manufacturing functions including purchasing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, equipment and facilities maintenance, and introduction of new technology into manufacturing process.


* Assist with Facilities Planning / Renovation.


* Reporting of daily Production Data to management team.
