Ingersoll Rand Climate Control Technologies Sector is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for our Louisville, GA location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plan, organize and direct manufacturing or service activities in one or more departments, in order to meet established
objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Direct all manufacturing (or service) functions as they relate to assigned department (s) within agreed upon budget. Meet required production schedules. Coordinate material planning and other departments to reduce cycle times.


2. Provide guidance and leadership to department personnel and enforce plant policies consistent with keeping the Louisville plant "Ingersoll-Rand" represented. Direct daily (as required) meetings to coordinate department activities.


3. Train daily and re-train assigned employees in their duties.(This includes safety, quality standards, production standard, and related.) Promote quality awareness by instructions and examples; require quality performance of self and subordinates.


4. Maintain department records such as attendance, vacations, and overtime.


5. Coordinate support from other departments such as maintenance, materials, IE-ME to meet daily objectives. Know, communicate and teach plant policies regarding hazardous materials, hazardous waste and spills. Participate in development of JIT for departments.


7. Review various reports and provide guidance to employees and support personnel in corrective action on a daily basis. Provide support for engineering in processing prototypes. Implement ECO's in a timely fashion in assigned area.


8. Ensure good department housekeeping by clear direction and to follow-up. Perform related duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Detailed knowledge of one or more manufacturing (or support) areas.

Training and experience in general supervisory techniques.

5 + years of manufacturing experience.

Ability to meet selection criteria used by Ingersoll-Rand assessment centers for supervisors.
