Required Knowledge & Experience: Requires strong skills in change management, problem solving, communication, customer orientation, global business perspective, project management, team skills and quality. Requires proficiency in Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Oracle [Inventory Control, BOM and ECO]. - B.S. level degree or equivalent; - 7+ years manufacturing experience, including 4 years supervisory/management experience. Job Specific Knowledge & Experience: - 8+ years manufacturing experience;
- APICS certification or equivalent;
- Demonstrated successful implementation/management of a materials management system;
- Previous experience as IC/PC Manager or Planner/Buyer.
Responsibilities: Plans requirements for purchasing materials or services and ensures delivery of materials to production consistent with established schedules. Ensures optimum inventory levels; conducts physical inventories for verification of inventory levels. Implements and maintains physical distribution procedures, work authorizations, dispatching and expediting procedures, and floor scheduling/shop loading procedures. Determines staffing requirements; ensures effective recruitment, training, and retention of key staff to enable staff development. Manages/oversees effective warehousing according to needs. Manages commitment methodologies and processes. Administers company policies, including yearly performance reviews that directly affect subordinate employees. Generates necessary documentation, including activity/status reports, operation review input, and excess/obsolete analysis. Participates in the development of division manufacturing plan. Prepares budgets and forecasts.
