REQUIREMENTS

Our new, state-of-the-art neurosciences tower will have 11 state-of-the-Art surgical suites, dedicated to neurosurgery and an intra-operative MRI unit, as well as 49 neuro acute beds and 64 neuro ICU rooms. In addition,the new tower will have a 16-bed telemetry unit and 15-bed epilepsy
monitoring unit.


BLS certification.
C.N.A. course completion and current registration/license required
Six months C. N. A. acute care experience preferred

The Patient Care Technician performs patient related care tasks (direct care, EKG, phlebotomy). Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides direct patient care under supervision of Nurse. Obtains and records patient vital signs. Monitors and records daily intake and output. Obtains specimens, including non-invasive body fluids and blood specimens. Performs EKG's and blood glucose monitoring. Monitors and performs actions to decrease patient length of stay including but not limited to: use of computerized Bed Tracking System, performing timely designated discharge duties, and communicating discharge information to appropriate staff, and other tasks as requested.
