Sr. Production Facilitator








National manufacturing company has an immediate opening for a Senior Production Facilitator at its Montgomery, AL facility. Looking for a solid candidate who can advance to a Superintendent position.





Manages and coordinates activities of a production department and/or shift to meet departmental and company goals and objectives. Directly supervises 25 to 50 hourly employees in the various departments assigned and indirectly supervises other production facilitators and hourly employees as assigned; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.





EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university with 4 years professional experience.


Experience in a high volume manufacturing setting.


Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.


Must have an understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology.


Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.


Must be proficient in the use of personal computer.


Must have good people skills, the ability to work and interact in a team setting.



PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


Knowledge and experience in the appliance industry.


Working knowledge with MTMS, CADView, and Microsoft Office Software.


Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. (Will be tested)


Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
