Sr Configuration Analyst

Job Description:

Responsible for determining Data Management requirements and administrating Data Management programs to ensure compliance with contract data requirements. Require an understanding and application of IPDS principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Develops solutions to a variety of complex day to day data management problems. Participate in determining objectives of assignment. Familiarity with international contract management. Ability to perform data requirements analysis, and ability to create systems and architectural specification.

Specific duties and responsibilities are as follows....

*Generate/distribute data delivery forecasts that Track/monitor/expedite contract data deliverables

*Review contract reference documentation and generate data approval forms/contract submittal letters

*Using Product Data Management (PDM) system, generate/maintain data schedule/history matrix (datatrack)

*Support PMO activities; ability to generate metrics

*Perform historical record maintenance

*Coordinate and manage contract closure efforts; program review activities, and conduct trade-off analyses to determine archive storage vs. electronic storage requirements.

*Generate/coordinate DD250 data activities

*Coordinate design and development of Engineering notebook(s) (ENB)

*Conduct contractual interpretation/direction

*Support request for proposal (RFP) efforts

*Address security issues/data deliverables marking; perform classified reproduction/mailing

*Provide customer support/interface

*Implement Data Management systems, policies, and procedures on programs

*Review IPDS/CMMI requirements and conduct peer reviews

*Perform process assessments

*Develop and maintain performance metrics

*Provide subcontractor interface/tracking/support

*Support transitional/new business activities

*Review/comment on proposed contract modifications affecting business segment (Data Management)

*Versed in Information Technologies (IT) and cognizant of Intellectual Property (IP) issues

*Regularly interact with program management for 'best-in-class" solutions

*Identify root causes and select the best practice solution for the problem

*Develop and conduct DM training - both classroom and OJT

*Understand overarching guidance specifications and federal regulations

*Identification of subcontract flowdown requirements


*Provide guidance to junior staff in support of organizational objectives

*Solve complex problems in a cross-functional environment

*Perform financial analyses

*Demonstrate advanced computer technical skills

*Lead a program in the performance of overall program/organizational goals

*Setup and management of supplier data deliveries

*Travel as needed

Required Skills:

Proficient with MS S/W Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Effective Writing and excellent Interpersonal Skills

Knowledge Project Planning/Management

Strong Organizational management skills

Demonstrated ability to multi-task

Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of PDM

Understanding of ITAR regulations

Understanding/knowledge of R6Sigma.

Project management oversight experience

Ability to perform systems, software, and hardware development lifecycle analysis, including the development of business, technical, and functional requirements and specifications

Familiarized with using external DocuShare, creating web pages and website management

Required Education(including Major):

Minimum Degree: B.S. Majors: Business Management or MIS with an additional 5 years of related experience
