Sr Quality Assurance Eng II

Job Description: Function as a member of Quality Systems supporting Quality Data Analysis. Responsibilities include performing data analysis to accurately predict business Quality performance. This position entails the development, generation, analysis and reporting of Quality Systems Data. This data must then be translated and depicted into clear and cohesive information to be utilized in effecting change in Quality operations business processes. Thoroughly involved in working in an interactive environment with other quality engineers, business area quality program managers, and manufacturing operations for the development, reporting, analysis and monitoring of quality data. This position will also work with various Six Sigma/Lean initiatives as a subject matter expert. Interaction involves the development of information that will generate catalysts for timely and appropriate corrective action. Will be expected to function as a POC for quality data and present/review data with peers and management.
Required Skills: Good understanding of statistical methodologies, process controls, and factors that lead to process variability. Strong ability to define and apply methods for collecting information from multiple sources, organizing the information in a logical way, and characterizing the information in a manner that enables others to arrive at an actionable result. Motivated to identify, develop and report data that serves as a catalyst for improvements and/or correction action planning. Proven ability to identify adverse trends and develop/propose approaches for short-term and long-term corrective action. Ability to define process versus design variation based upon quality data. Knowledgeable of and experience with root cause analysis processes. Must be capable of effectively completing tasks accurately and on time with minimal oversight. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Experienced in the development of reports/metrics that address business/program needs.

Desired Skills: Analytical expertise and the ability to propose resolutions for process or variances and nonconformances based upon Quality System data. Experience in reliability failure reporting and analysis highly desirable. Proven ability to successfully interact and work with all levels of the organization and disciplines, particularly Quality and Manufacturing areas. Strong/advanced computer skills, especially with MS Excel, MS Access, MS Powerpoint, Minitab. ASQ, Six Sigma training a plus. Degreed individual preferred but equivalent experience may be considered.
Required Education(including Major): B.S./B.A. - Engineering; Quality Engineering; Industrial Engineering. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
