Account Manager - CONTACT
Summary/Position Objectives:
This position works directly with CONTACT client organizations to implement, manage, and monitor the organizations' employee assistance program (EAP) and/or managed care services. The incumbent may also assist in other sales and marketing activities as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Establishes and maintains a system for implementing, reviewing, assessing, and servicing assigned employer accounts. Meets weekly with supervisor and provides oral reports regarding the accounts, and suggests actions to improve services to the client.
Achieves and maintains full understanding of client programs and policies, including service scope, special service features, history of service issues, and client contact.
Serves as primary contact for the employer and broker/consultant on all day to day issues. Achieves appropriate turn-around time with resolving issues.
Communicates with the employer and broker/consultant the requirements for client implementations. Coordinates with internal resources to implement client requirements and revisions, including creating and maintaining benefit matrices for system set -up. Communicates ongoing implementation progress to employer and broker/consultant.
Assists the client's employees and their dependents, as requested, regarding issues related to all administrative matters (exceptions, special considerations, etc.).
Monitors client satisfaction through meetings, calls, and review of contracted survey results of employees, dependents, members and primary employer contacts.
Represents the Sales and Marketing Department in various internal meetings, and for bringing forward operation issues in need of remedy.
Oversees the contract implementation and renewal processes; these processes may include negotiating, generating, reviewing, amending, and distributing contracts.
Knowledge and Skills:
Effective verbal communications and human relations skills are critical. Must have effective analytical skills, and general business skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to effectively use MicroSoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as other proprietary software specific to business and company.
Education and Work Experience:
This position requires at least three years of account management or marketing experience. Bachelor degree in Business, Communications or a directly-related field is preferred but not required. Experience in the healthcare industry preferred but not required.
