Director - Marketing
Directing multiple engagements, or participating as a team leader or above on a long-term engagement. Overseeing all aspects of Division marketing including budgeting, personnel, contractual scope of work, facilities, and the client.
Managing project subcontracts according to the signed contracts and defined scope of work.
Overseeing the development of work plans and project deliverables.
Providing oversight to ensure that projects meet and exceed contractual performance requirements, timelines, and budgets.
Participating as a member of the Business Development team, working closely with Division Sales Manager to identify new business and follow-on opportunities for the company.
Developing and implementing Education Branding Strategies.
Developing and implementing Web Based Marketing Strategies, Telesales Campaign Strategies, and Conference Strategies.
Working with team to develop thought leadership pieces and other materials to be used in Branding and other outreach efforts.
Participating with the proposal manager/proposal participants on major proposals.
Participating in regular client meetings; developing trust, credibility, and strong client relationships; and seeking opportunities to add value above and beyond competitors.
Achieving and/or exceeding client satisfaction metrics by establishing programs and processes that will increase satisfaction annually.
Maintaining a professional and problem solving approach in all dealings with clients and any future clients that we may interact with.
Making informed decisions on running the business by utilizing the financial reports (such as PATS) to monitor forecasts and profitability goals, as well as control labor costs and expenditures.
Examining financial efficiency and reducing cost whenever possible without sacrificing quality.
Staying abreast of government, business, industry, and market information that may reveal opportunities for innovative products and services.
Managing and mentors junior staff members.
Promoting the Division and the company in a professional and positive manner in all activities.
Managing the activities of Division projects in accordance with established policies and procedures. Attending Division, Group, and Corporate meetings as requested and required.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively when required.
Performing other duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing or business administration
Minimum of five years experience in a marketing, public relations or advertising position preferably within the education market
A thorough understanding of the RFP and proposal development processes
Ability to manage, motivate, and hold personnel accountable for developing effective strategies, advertising and public relations programs, and special events
Demonstrated leadership skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline and detailed-oriented work environment
Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
