Logistics Coordinator:
Summary of Responsibilities
The Logistics Coordinator supports the Account Executive by coordinating the daily load activities by talking with carriers, customers, suppliers and vendors ensuring that goods are picked up and delivered on time.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Acts a liaison between the manufacturer/supplier, trucking carrier and receiver.
2. Locates carriers for loads. Communicates at least once a day with the carrier during transport, from pick-up to delivery.
3. Builds and maintains relationships with carriers. Maintains the spreadsheet of the Account Executive's carrier information.
4. Accurately enters and maintains up-to-date information on a continuous basis in the Load Manager.
5. Ensures that all the proper documents are completed and received by TQL before a carrier is used for the first time. Follows-up with carrier to keep necessary documents current.
6. Works quickly to resolve problems that may develop on a load.
7. Provides on-the-job training and direction for Account Executive Trainees.
8. Negotiates rates with carriers within the parameters provided by the Account Executive.
Secondary Responsibilities
1. Handles all aspects of the Account Executive's business when he/she is not present.
2. Ensures that all necessary paperwork is submitted to the Accounting department after each load is delivered.
3. Contributes to the growth of the business by referring quality candidates into the hiring process.
Required Job Qualifications
1. Strong work ethic, energetic, fast learner
2.Self directed and good problem solving skills
3. Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management skills, and ability to manage many activities at a time
4. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
5. Ability to effectively train others
6. Strong verbal communication skills face to face and over the phone
7. At least 25 wpm typing skills
8. Able to simultaneously handle multiple phone lines
9. Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills
10. Must be available to occasionally take calls during the evening and weekends, and work half days 1 Saturday a month.
Desired Job Qualifications
1. Bachelors Degree
2. Previous transportation or dispatch experience
Working Conditions
Ability to work and concentrate in a fast paced open office environment that can be noisy. Continual use of computer keyboard and telephones.
