Manager Of Marketing Research
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the president, the Manager of Marketing Research is responsible for providing detailed and extensive reporting, tracking and analytics for all retail and wholesale marketing campaigns.
This position is in Buenos Aires, Argentina or Madison, Wisconsin.
Management Duties:
Manage a 12 person team to most effectively collect and process marketing data. Must be an excellent leader and motivator.
Work with our IT Department to automate collection of data and campaign execution.
Coordinate with our marketing department for collateral to be used in the campaigns.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide expert guidance and oversight for all analytical efforts within the marketing department
Ensure sound analytical and statistical rigor are being balanced with business requirements
Direct and use advanced statistical /data mining techniques and draws upon direct business experience to analyze business problems, outline potential solution options and develop recommendations
Design, perform and present research studies using data from a variety of internal and external data sources to solve business problems
Develop and oversee all quality control and operational processes to
Identify opportunities where data/analysis may be leveraged in order to size and segment markets and support other marketing and sales initiatives
Direct team members to design and generate standard marketing/program reporting application tools
Design and generate ad hoc marketing/program reports/analyses
Design, develop and manage marketing research projects
Participate in lead generation and distribution, tracking and segmentation for retail business
Measure and report on return-on-investment and other success indicators
Develop and maintain customer segmentation predictive models and profiles
Develop predictive models to improve cross-category purchases from customers
Develop predictive models for key customer groups to improve customer retention
SKILLS PREFERRED:
Experience with complex marketing database, applications, reporting and analysis systems. Oracle databases and Oracle eBusiness CRM (Sales and Marketing) would be preferred
BS in Marketing, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
Minimum 5 years significant analytic experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, data mining, business modeling, marketing, finance, operations management
Superior organizational, communication and planning skills, written/verbal presentation, and the ability to present complex analytical information in a clear and concise manner to a
variety of audiences, in large and small groups, including senior management at top-tier companies
Proven ability to lead by example by being capable of, and willing to get involved at the detailed problem solving level with key customers
Strong problem solving skills, demonstrated diligence and attention to detail
Experience in multi-channel marketing a plus (Outbound Calling, Email, Search, Online Media, Direct Mail)
