Description
This position is responsible for developing and enhancing professional relationships with healthcare professionals and professional/patient organizations. Provides scientific, technical and pharmacoeconomic information to OrthoNeutrogena’s key customers. Initiates and maintains relationships to increase awareness of company’s products by designing, developing and delivering effective presentations and by coordinating symposia and continuing education seminars. May manage site screening(s) and evaluation(s) for potential clinical trials for company products and provide feedback to Clinical Development.1. Provides field-based clinical support to customers by providing educational presentations, responding to unsolicited medical information requests and assisting in the developing novel clinical study ideas. 2. Develops thought leaders and provides a clinical information to current and potential Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). 3. Participates in regional symposia, clinical and marketing advisory boards and other national and international meetings. 4. Creates and/or reviews educational, promotional and reporting materials for use within the company’s departments; specifically the marketing and sales, regulatory affairs and legal departments.5. Coordinates and develops policies and procedures for development and provision of medical and technical information relating to the company’s drug products for use by customers.6. Coordinates continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs for physicians, and scientists.7. Communicates medical information in a manner that influences opinion leader action.8. Builds advocacy for the company and its products.9. Partners with groups (medical, sales, and marketing) to achieve company objectives in a manner that is coordinated to the customer10. Ethically gathers and shares scientific, customer, and competitor information on pre-launch and marketed products11. Administers company-sponsored grant programs for learning institutions. Manages an individual budget including self-travel, educational grants, professional meeting attendance and participation. Works within an assigned region/business unit in support of achieving sales goals by applying extensive knowledge of company’s (and competitive) products to influence clinical customers. 12. Ability to travel approximately 60% of the time is required – international travel required.
Qualifications
Life Science degree such as BS Pharm, BSN, MSN, or MS with appropriate experience is required. Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in clinical/academic setting is also required. Product knowledge and dermatology experience is also required.Exposure to pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry interactions and thought-leader development is desired.
