Product Manager
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Product Manager will develop and manage the execution of marketing strategies and product design efforts of new and existing products. The ideal candidate must be able to analyze markets and develop viable strategies for new product entry. This individual must have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to manage the coordination effort between several internal functional groups. Specific responsibilities include:
Perform financial justification of new products, line extensions, and enhancements.
Develop short and long-range product line strategy plan including sales and profitability objectives
Envision and implement product line extensions
Researching competitive strategy to define pricing and positioning.
Coordination and management of cross-functional new product development teams.
Develop all product marketing, promotional and technical support materials.
Develop and deliver product presentations and training to direct sales force and customers.
Placement, follow-up and evaluation of in-field product testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate degree from a top school, ideally in a technical field.
Three or more years in a marketing role.
Ability and willingness to understand the technical aspects of existing and new products.
Excellent analytical and strategic marketing skills.
Project management experience.
New product development and product launch experience.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, MS Project, Outlook)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA degree is highly desirable.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with launching new products.
Experience marketing or selling products through distribution.
Experience with electronic, wireless, networking, software products.
