We are 100% focused on developing products that will provide the most engaging, effective learning experience - for all ages, in school or home, around the world.
We are looking for Software Engineers to develop games and applications using a variety of languages and both standard and proprietary development tools. The challenge and passion comes in developing the most fun and educational (and cost-effective) software for our platforms as well as tools to aid in production and improve efficiency. If you understand and love the aspects of game development (such as physics of a game, graphics manipulation, getting the right "feel" to the game playing, handling a variety of input devices) and enjoy using your creativity to balance all of these aspects, we want to hear from you. This position require interfacing with a wide variety of organizations including Producers, Designers, Audio, Animation, Operations, Hardware, and International teams. Additionally, you may oversee technical aspects of external development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, develop, test, and document high quality software in a timely manner.
Work effectively with other disciplines and external development partners.
Define, estimate, and assist in planning task breakdowns for the software work
Support existing products and content development teams.
Mentor other engineers.
Job Qualifications
5+ years programming experience.
3+ years experience with C++ (preferred) or Java.
3+ years experience with 3-D graphics.
2+ years experience with Flash ActionScript (preferred) JavaScript, or VisualBasic.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commercial games experience and a passion for developing games.
Highly flexible and self-motivated.
Ability to quickly learn new hardware platforms.
BS/MS or equivalent in CS, Math, Physics, or EE.
Desirable skills: PEG, XML, video codecs, UML, TV connectivity, OpenGL, DVD authoring, Python, PERL, Photoshop, experience developing shared libs and internationalized software.
