Sr. Test Engineer

Job Description:



Overview

Responsible for creating test specifications, writing S/W test scripts and defining the test methods for all LeapFrog products. Will work with Test Engineering in Los Gatos as part of
corporate Test Engineering.


Key Responsibilities

Generate test specification and test scripts for all new products developed with LF R&D. Work with R&D, Product Development, Engineering and Quality to make sure new products
are manufacturable and testable.

Assist in the transfer of new products developed by LFHK R&D. Interface with the factories to guarantee the products are manufactured correctly and meet all specifications.
Coordinate test data with Test Engineering in Los Gatos and assist in troubleshooting test problems.

Help to solve process and test problems once the product is released to production.

Work with Los Gatos Test Engineering to standardize the test process, and train engineers at LeapFrog and the factories to better understand test methods and strategies.

Work with Document Control to release appropriate documents needed for production.

Job Qualifications


Good understanding of manufacturing process flow and Test Engineering for high volume products

Ability to create documentation in a clear, concise manner

Mechanical and electrical product manufacturing knowledge

Good understanding of electronics with ability to analyze circuits when no engineering specification is available

Experience with test on mechanical products

BSEE or equivalent required

Production test equipment

Process documentation requirements

Ability to troubleshoot product problems using commercial test equipment

Ability to design custom equipment when commercial equipment is not available

Minimum of 5 years experience in Test Engineering.

Experience working with high volume products. Toy experience would be a plus.

Good reading and writing skills
