Worldwide Product Director, Navigation - 0604273
Description
The Worldwide Product Director, Navigation is responsible for developing and implementing worldwide strategies and tactics for the Carto Electro anatomical Mapping and Ablation System or other navigation technologies in line with the over all worldwide marketing strategy. This includes identifying and developing market and product strategies to maximize customer acceptance, market penetration, sales growth and profitability of the Carto system and associated catheter products globally. Works closely with Regional Marketing, professional Education, R&D and clinical teams to implement all activities. Principal Duties:Develops WW marketing strategic plan to support navigation system and disposable growth goals. Responsible for annual business plan working with WW and regional teams.Determines WW customer/product requirements and works in partnership with Regions to ensure that requirements are met during the product development process for the following:New base software packages, new navigation platforms, (hardware and software) and new navigation based services. Develop strategy and processes to support current install-base, expend catheter usage per system and increase customer satisfaction related to the CARTO navigation system or other navigation technologies. Develop product and service strategy and process for CARTO integration in the EP lab.Serve on Product Core teams as member for new products or line extensions to establish product specifications and all other aspects of the Product development Process.Develop product launches packages including positioning, pricing, competitive information, key features/benefits and over all strategy and manage seamless handover to the Regional Marketing manager, Navigation. Assist Regional Marketing manager, Navigation in identifying and developing strategic plans for geographical market development or product-specific sector. Provide inputs and prepare analysis for Project Investment Board (PIB) activities and decisions. Develops WW professional education training requirements for new product launches, update requirements for existing products and other key market sectors.Supports Business Development in identifying key opportunities for growth and in completing analyses to support business decisions. This includes collaboration with NBD in identifying OEM partners to expand our product pipeline. Supports Sales Groups with technical, market or clinical information on company and competitive products, trends, or disease state information. Working with the Clinical/Regulatory Department and Regions, identifies and assists in coordinating key clinical studies required for post-market development and product claim development. Develops relationships with key industry opinion leaders according to the WW marketing KOL plan to anticipate and respond to key clinical, technical and market changes. Capture “Voice of the Costumers” needs and provides input to key stakeholders ( R&D, Business Development and Global Marketing) on products and service needs. Monitor global sales and market data and proposes strategy changes or updates based on data analysis. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all state, federal, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or scientific discipline required, M.B.A preferred. 5-7 year’s experience in Medical Device Product Marketing. 2-3 years experience with capital equipment, hardware and software with disposable component required. 5 or more years experience working for a large, multi-national corporation in the Medical Device Industry required. Experience with project management and new products introduction (up stream) required. 3 or more years of people management experience. 1 or more years sales experience preferred. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English. Proven experience in marketing medical devices required. Ability to demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills required. Ability to demonstrate high level of intercultural and cross-functional communication skills required. Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project software. Up to 50% international and domestic travel required.
