Job SummaryUnder general supervision, you will conduct all land work within the assigned area of responsibility, as well as secure information pertaining to the availability of land for leasing, acquisition, or development. You will also negotiate surface use and pipeline agreements with surface owners; review, prepare, and negotiate basic industry contracts within the area of responsibility; work with team members to achieve goals; direct lease brokers on leasing and title curative activities; keep management apprised of work in progress and essential developments and perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTo be considered, you must have a thorough understanding of mineral and surface issues; must have the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time; must have the ability to negotiate and prepare basic land contracts with an emphasis on coalbed gas agreements; must be able to structure basic industry trades and calculate the interest of the participants; must have a solid understanding of land title issues and curative matters including those associated with coalbed methane gas; must be able to coordinate lease acquisition activities utilizing field brokers; must be an effective communicator both oral and written; must possess good interpersonal skills to be an effective member of a project team; and must possess good computer skills.
Education, Certifications & Other QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in PLM or BBA is desired along with 10+ years oil & gas experience with a focus on coalbed methane gas.
