Description

The Real Estate Sr. Market Analyst will plan, develop, and administer location analysis/site services for a specific part of the country for Best Buy stores and also provide strategic and analytical direction for new and ongoing company initiatives.





Key Responsibilities:

1) Provide revenue and cannibalization estimates as well as strategic direction and recommendations regarding Best Buy’s store location strategy.

2) Complete research studies associated with Best Buy’s strategic development. Present findings to senior management and lead implementation when possible. Partner with clients outside the realm of Real Estate.

3) Develop successful partnerships with Best Buy Real Estate, Best Buy Retail, Retail Finance and outside brokers that will ensure Best Buy continues to build stores in optimal locations.

4) Effectively present potential store recommendations and larger research findings to Real Estate committee to ensure educated decision making and strategic direction.

5) Maintain accurate and timely inventory of future markets and existing store conditions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required

Experience – 2+ years in market analysis or quantitative role in Geography or Urban Planning context



Solid analytical and research skills, including statistics and location theory

Travel required



Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Marketing preferred

Retail Market Analysis background desired

Spanish speaking a plus
