The Patient Food Service Aide opening is with our Patient Food Services of the Nutrition Services Department that serves the entire 565-bed hospital facility of Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital. Our services include: planning, preparation and service of nutritious meals to patients, residents, employees, and visitors to the hospital. We operate the Cafeteria, Snack Bar, and Patient Food Services.Your Position

To fulfill this role as a Patient Food Service Aide, you'll assist in the preparation and delivery of prepared food to our patients. In addition, this position will assist in the loading and storage of food inventory and supplies.

Like you, we value safety and support. As a newly hired Patient Food Service Aide, you'll be precepted by unit-experienced staff and surrounded by a mentoring environment combined with an operational "what's best for the patient" attitude.Our Requirements
1 to 2 years food service experience at a hospital, hospice, or hotel/restaurant setting
Strong command of English language with speaking and reading abilities (JARCHO Regulations)
Occasional (20 to 50 pounds) and frequent (10-25 pounds) lifting and force exerting requirements

The hours are from noon to 8:30pm, days vary.


Requirements:

Deliver & pick up patient meals and menus. Assist patients in making meal selections as assigned.
