Lead multiple commodity teams in the development and implementation of strategies for assigned commodities in support of the DMT’s operating and new product development plans. Manage the business and technical performance of the supply base. Develop and document procurement strategies and procedures to align Pitney Bowes with appropriate suppliers to continuously improve the competitive position in a Worldwide Marketplace. Develop and manage strategic supplier partnerships. Lead process improvement, cost reduction initiatives and other change initiatives in the procurement department. Support Newtown for spare parts procurement.
We currently have two (2) openings.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Business Administration, Technical Field, or equivalent. 4 – 6 years experience in one or more of the following: Procurement, Project Management, Materials Management, Manufacturing / Process Engineering or Product Development. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Integrity, initiative, and detail oriented. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills including benchmarking capabilities and basic financial analysis skills, i.e.: cost estimating, make/buy analysis, evaluation of company financial data, etc. Ability to read blueprints and work with engineering specifications. Ability to develop and function in a team environment as leader and member with proven project management skills. Proven effective negotiating skills including knowledge of business drivers, structures, analysis and priorities. Ability to develop contract framework/ business agreements. Knowledge of intellectual property law as it pertains to procurement. Knowledge of the theory and applications of total quality, ERP and total cost of ownership. Working knowledge of Access, Excel, Word, SAP and MRP software. Sound working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical commodities and markets. ment department.
