Job Summary

The Lead Sales Associate provides positive frontline contact with the customer. The position requires technical knowledge in terms of product, repairs, high-use parts application. This position also requires the ability to exercise the appropriate level of persuasiveness needed to close the sale.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

Provide knowledgeable and courteous customer service
Coach and train sales associates
Participate in the hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates
Create and maintain schedules for sales associates
Approve voids and allowances for sales associate and customer transactions
Maximize selling potential of every transaction.
Professionally supports company profitability in selling Carry-in repair
Knowledge of Brand Central, Home Improvement and Lawn & Garden including sales skills and parts knowledge
Knowledge of LCD & plasma products, surround sound systems, and digital cameras.
Perform multiple duties as assigned
Promote P.A. Sales to achieve P.A. sales standard
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Essential Functions
The Lead Sales Associate specific job functions fall into four main groups:
Communication:
Ability to provide knowledgeable, courteous and professional customer service
Effectively communicate with Sears associates, vendors, third party customers and other outside sources
Ability to work productively and effectively when faced with stressful situations. This includes maintaining effective interactions with others under stressful working conditions
Ability to convey a positive image of the company in all actions and behaviors
Ability to read and effectively utilize reports
Ability to read, understand and apply written text, in order to answer questions, solve problems, or complete job tasks
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Teamwork:
Ability to work productively and effectively when faced with stressful situations. This includes maintaining effective interactions with others under stressful working conditions.
Ability to work well with others in a group, cooperate with others, offer to help when needed and foster a team climate that brings out the best in team members. Collaborates and builds relationships with others to get the job done and deliver high performance results.
Sales and Service Performance:
Ability to protect company assets by following established policies and procedures for sales detail processing, sorting, and recording (Credit, MCA accounts, MIC, ringing in appropriate accounts)
Ability to assist customers with transporting merchandise to and from their vehicles
Ability to set, maintain, re-stock, and inventory sales floor merchandise according to business specifications
Adherence to accurate inventory maintenance (i.e. counting of product, database input, and receiving of new product
Perform all procedures and work instruction according to ISO 9001 standards (ISO Certified Districts)
Proficient use of the Sears Internal Systems
Effectively demonstrate appropriate time management skills
Ability to treat all customers with respect and dignity
Ability to accept responsibility for work assignment and job duties and to be held accountable for their successful completion
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Demonstrate a commitment to quality work in all areas
Safety:
Uses appropriate security, maintenance and safety procedures to protect company and customer assets
Avoids accidents by recognizing potentially unsafe situations, and responding appropriately when accidents occurs
Applies appropriate use of personal protective equipment

This job is performed both in and out of doors and requires the ability to lift and carry merchandise weighting up to _____ pounds to customers' cars on a regular daily basis. This job requires standing for long periods of time.

Experience/Education
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
· Sales/Customer Service/Industry Parts Sales experience preferred
· Some technical school preferred
· Experience and aptitude with computers and databases
· Experience with point-of-sale systems
· Knowledge of internet-based applications
