Maintenance Tech

Provide general maintenance support to an IdleAire location.

Function Summary:


To provide on site repairs to IdleAire equipment requiring troubleshooting of electrical, HVAC, telephone and wireless communication systems.


Essential Functions:


Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance including troubleshooting and timely repair required to maintain 100% availability of service to IdleAire parking spaces as well as on going preventative maintenance and upgrades to IdleAire equipment.

Ability to operate scissor lift on the ground and in air with compliance to IdleAire and OSHA safety regulations.

Assist in providing a safe and clean work environment.

Assist operation personnel and truck drivers with IdleAire equipment service issues.


Secondary Functions:


Ability to take direction from Supervisor and respond to request in timely manner.

Maintain daily ticket reports, keep updated equipment inventory logs, as well as time clock punches.

May be asked to assist in training of future IdleAire Maintenance Tech's.

May be asked to assist at another site.


Working Conditions:


This position requires the individual to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.

The position requires working days, while on call evenings, nights, and weekends.

The position requires an individual to be able to lift 40 lbs.


Qualifications:


The Individual must be self motivated.

The individual must have a valid driver's license.

The individual must have a car in good operating condition.

The individual must be dependable, punctual and organized.

The individual must be able to communicate with good verbal and written skills.

The individual must be able to work with minimal supervision and must be able to work with a culturally diverse group of people.


Experience:


A maintenance and trouble shooting background in electrical, mechanical required.

Knowledge in telecommunication, internet, wireless communications and HVAC a plus.

Experience with the use of Microsoft products.

The individual needs to have a good understanding of the use of computers.

Prior experience in the trucking industry a plus.


Education:


High School diploma or GED required.


Pay Rate: $15.00 / hour
