Manager Of Human Resources

Overview:Under direction of the facility Vice President and with guidance from corporation Human Resources, provide Human Resources leadership and support to the Furniture and Bedding operation that serves Macys Florida, Macy's and Bloomingdales. In partnership with the management team lead employee relations efforts to improve quality, employee morale, employee productivity and reduce turnover. Key Accountabilities:
Manage all employee relations activities and address all issues
With the administrative support of one associate, complete all human resources administrative and record keeping requirements
Responsible for the entire lifecycle of the hiring process from sourcing candidates through interviews, screening (background checks/drug tests), offers and the on roll process
Conduct new hire orientation as well as selected training classes
Counsel with employees on policies, procedures and workplace concerns to help the employee identify appropriate resolution steps.
Administration of Performance appraisal process for exempt and non-exempt associates.
Plan and monitor HR payroll and non-payroll budget.
Produce People soft
Member of the Safety Committee.
Any other responsibilities management deems essential.
Conduct and assist in the training of Exempts and Non-Exempts
All facility employee relations activities including associate volunteer program, communications program and employee appreciation events.Skill Summary:
Minimum 2 years Human Resources experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Leadership/teamwork skills
