ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:






Responsible for the day-to-day analysis of PetSmart's pricing programs and initiatives to ensure the necessary information is available to assist in pricing initiatives, updates, changes, etc.


Conducts in-depth quantitative analysis of internal and external data to provide insights and recommendations regarding pricing and margin improvement.


Applies conceptual thinking in analyzing competitive pricing data, and pulls together findings.


Communicates findings in a structured and presentable format.


Provides merchandising and marketing with up-to-date competitive pricing information on a regular basis.


Prepares competitive assessments on all pet specialty, tack, mass, and grocery competition to ensure a competitive position and that pricing decisions are based on updated information.


Responsible for communicating competitive recommendations to determine effectiveness of pricing activities based on internal and external data.


Uses the KhiMetrics software to generate reports and specific analysis. Understands KhiMetrics' modeling approach.


Performs periodic general audits of demand models by business segment and market.


Works with marketing to ensure that e.piphany's findings will be integrated into the KhiMetrics software.





REQUIREMENTS:


Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business from four-year college or university and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Retail experience preferred.
