Job Summary

The Sales Associate provides positive frontline contact with the customer, determines and meets customer needs, provides customer assistance and support, and ensures that customers' Parts/Carry-in shopping experience is positive. The position requires technical knowledge in terms of product, repairs, high-use parts application, as well as excellent communication skills needed to translate customer needs into Parts/Carry-in solutions. This position also requires the ability to exercise the appropriate level of persuasiveness needed to close the sale.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

Provide knowledgeable and courteous customer service
Maximize selling potential of every transaction
Knowledge of LCD & plasma products, surround sound systems, and digital cameras. Advanced knowledge of new technology needed
Knowledge of Brand Central, Home Improvement and Lawn & Garden including sales skills and parts knowledge
Perform multiple duties as assigned
Promote P.A. Sales and the achievement of the P.A. sales standard
Maximize revenue opportunities
Essential Functions

Attain personal sales goals through adherence to the customer enthusiasm selling process
Maximize selling potential of every transaction
Professionally supports company profitability in selling Carry-in repair via the Carry-in process
Knowledge of LCD & plasma products, surround sound systems, and digital cameras. Advanced knowledge of new technology needed
Knowledge of Brand Central, Home Improvement and Lawn & Garden including sales skills and parts knowledge
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the selling techniques of creating customer enthusiasm
Perform multiple duties, including but not limited to: cleaning, stocking, signing, shipping & receiving, and parts inventory control
Promote P.A. Sales and the achievement of the P.A. sales standard
Maximize revenue opportunities
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Specific Essential Functions:
Communication:
Ability to provide knowledgeable, courteous and professional customer service
Effectively communicate with Sears associates, vendors, third party customers and other outside sources
Ability to work productively and effectively when faced with stressful situations. This includes maintaining effective interactions with others under stressful working conditions

Sales and Service Performance:
Ability to protect company assets by following established policies and procedures for sales detail processing, sorting, and recording
Ability to assist customers with transporting merchandise to and from their vehicles
Ability to set, maintain, re-stock, and inventory sales floor merchandise according to business specifications
Adherence to accurate inventory maintenance
Perform all procedures and work instruction according to ISO standards
Proficient use of the Sears Internal Systems
Effectively demonstrate appropriate time management skills
Ability to accept responsibility for work assignment and job duties
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Safety:
Uses appropriate security, maintenance and safety procedures to protect company and customer assets
Avoids accidents by recognizing potentially unsafe situations, and responding appropriately when accidents occurs
Applies appropriate use of personal protective equipment
This job is performed both in and out of doors and requires the ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to ______ pounds to customers' cars on a regular daily basis. This job requires standing for long periods of time.

Experience/Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Sales/Customer Service/Industry parts sales experience preferred
Some technical school preferred
Experience and aptitude with computers and databases
Experience with point-of-sale systems
Knowledge of internet-based applications
