DESCRIPTION:Responsible for the planning and execution of IT compliance controls (SOX IT General Controls and Application Controls) while looking for ways to standardize, integrate the controls, and reduce the cost of compliance.RESPONSIBILITIES: Support
Provide end-user support for BIS control owners for the Axentis application, and serve as a departmental liaison to the Axentis Administrator. This includes coordinating the set-up and training for new users, coordination/communication of BIS organizational changes in Axentis, and problem tracking and resolution as needed.Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements, which result in greater operational and control efficiencies and effectiveness. This includes the monthly Axentis controls checklist, the tracking and remediation of audit exceptions, the publication of relevant KPIs, and monitoring of the Axentis control framework dashboard.Execution
Execute the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley IT compliance plan and develop the ongoing procedures for maintenance and assignment of company controls. Provide metrics that measure effectiveness these of initiatives.
Communicate control deficiencies, and recommend remediation action plans acting in an advisory role. Must have excellent customer service skills acting in an advisory role.
Maintain document repository for IT regulatory documents (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley control assessments, issues logs, core application documentation, audit exceptions log), ensuring that documentation is maintained and updated to reflect process changes for key systems.
Facilitate scheduling of compliance activities. Coordinate with BIS resources for compliance with SOX and financial statement audits. Maintain status of of IT compliance efforts.
Serve as a resource for all BIS managers, providing guidance and instruction to ensure their compliance with Company policies and procedures, including requirements for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Collaborate with key stakeholders in IT to educate, mentor, and assist with the development, implementation, and reporting of control processes, documentation and compliance routines.
Ensure that all compliance and process improvement activities follow the appropriate change management, security governance, and SOX documentation requirements.
Communicate policies and procedures to users through excellent written and oral communication. Support:

Provide support to BIS SOX Compliance Office to ensure timely and accurate generation of status reports and other key deliverables.
