Printer Technician

The Digital Technician provides the highest level of technical support on equipment, systems and connections throughout an assigned area. Through preventative maintenance, the person in this position ensures customer equipment performs at optimal quality and efficiency. Job responsibilities include:

- On-site installation, maintenance, and repair of company products and systems, including hardware, software, and networking products
- Using diagnostic tools, service aids, and product schematics to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system failures
- Use escalation process to inform Field Engineer, Field Service Manager, Specialist, and Headquarters of unresolved issues as well as suggestion to improve equipment performance
- Manage parts inventory and territory to comply with established operating standards
- Perform machine factory modifications and software /operating systems upgrades of equipment to insure optimum performance

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of related field experience as a technician working with business technology such as copier, printer or plotter
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven electromechanical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Minimum of a Technical/Trade/Business Certificate
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (NT4.0, 2000, XP)
- Ability and willingness to work with various teams in the support
- Maintain a valid driver"&tm;s license
