Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for our Huntsville, AL facility





Job Description:
- Provide IS Information Security System Officer Support to Classified computing environments at Huntsville, AL .
- Primarily interface with the Information Systems Security Manager, Program Engineering staff and Classified Lab Managers to ensure adherence to all NISPOM Chapter 8 policies.
- Maintain the Classified Security computing environments, creating profiles and security plans. Submit updates in a timely manner and implement any changes required by the customer rapidly and correctly.
- Ensure all IS' are configured and maintained to retain DSS accreditation during classified operations.
- Verify the conduct of weekly audits of the lab environments:
- Verify there are no changes to the IS
- Verify automated audit functions are performing properly
- Verify no time period of audit data is missing.
- Review event logs
- Verify users are cleared to operate lab systems.






Required Education:
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience




Basic Qualifications:


5 years hands on experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Access/Project).

Minimum 2 yrs related experience in DoD Classified Operating and / or laboratory environments.

Experience in Solaris, HPUX, Linux, Windows and NetApps Filers

Must possess an understanding of classified processing requirements.

U.S. Citizen

Secret Clearance




Desired Qualifications:

Possess good written, verbal, listening and presentation skills

Desire and ability to work as a team member is essential.

Knowledge of Raytheon Six Sigma and statistical techniques.

Must be customer focused, adaptable and willing to work varying assignments.

Must be self-motivated and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in documenting evaluation results.
