IT ANALYST IV

Job Description:

<BR><B><U>RESPONSIBILITIES:</B></U><UL>

· This position may act as a team
lead. The position reports
typically to a functional manager
and may also have shared
responsibilities on one or more
projects or programs reporting to
the various project or program
managers.
· Responsible for the evaluation of
business requirements for
enterprise business application
integration, service activation, and
delivering new or modified
software systems enhancements
and/or integration solutions.
Responsibility includes checking
for completeness of requirements
and applying consistent criteria
for the evaluation of the need for
and priority of satisfying the
requirements.
· Plans, organizes and leads
requirements sessions and
analyzes business and information
technology processes. Prepares
stakeholders for their roles in
participating in these sessions.
· Participates in every phase of the
CSAA Systems Development Life
Cycle in support of system
requirements.
· Anticipates customer
requirements, coordinates test and groups, reviews and approves
testing plans, and tracks
documents and reports to
management on the development
and results of these plans.
· Works closely with project
managers to develop project risk
management plans.
· Mentors other analysts on
techniques for eliciting and
documenting client requirements
via CSAA approved analysis
techniques such as data flow
modeling, case analysis, workflow
analysis, functional
decomposition analysis, data
modeling, and object modeling.
· Maintains relationships with
vendors, consultants or
contractors, and professional
organizations to maintain
professional and technical
knowledge of Software and
systems

<B><U>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</B></U><UL>

· Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science or related field desired
(may be substituted with four
years additional experience in
relevant analytical activities);
MBA strongly preferred.
· Ten+ years of general business
analysis experience in a large IT
department required, should
include five or more years of
project analysis experience.
· Two years of experience with
mainframe systems, legacy
insurance applications.
· The ability to effectively model
and mentor others in insurance
systems competencies.
· Exceptionally strong analytical
and conceptual skills.
