Description
Works with the programs and project managers to provides guidance and direction for requirements methodology, system testing processes, tools and staffing. This includes Business, Functional/Software, Non-functional/Supplementary requirements, simulations and Use Cases.
Provides guidance and direction for System, System Integration and User Acceptance testing, including methodology, process and the infrastructure needed to support these activities. Works with project managers and business to determine the Exit Criteria for these phases of testing.
Works directly and through matrix management with leaders and members from other areas.
Sources internal and external QA resources to assist projects to complete within time, quality and budget expectations.
Oversees QA phase of several programs and projects, and their coordination with other initiatives within the Enterprise and each other.
Scope of responsibility
Sources internal and external resources to complete programs and projects within time, quality and budget expectations; includes resource forecasting. Coach and mentor testing staff ensuring the methodologies, processes and tools are understood, consistent and utilized.
Maintain testing relationship with strategic partners
Ensures test plans, processes and methodologies are adhered to by individual programs and projects by performing quality assurance reviews and signoffs. Includes resolving testing conflicts
Works with people from all areas of CSAA, vendors and trading partners, contributes to developing solutions and serves as an advisor and consultant on requirements and testing technology trends, issues, opportunities and best practices. This would include making recommendations to business stakeholders on technology opportunities and provides the means to implement them within considerations for priority and available budgets and resources.
Coordinates the administrative and infrastructure activities needed to support the projects. This includes helping with the budget, procuring QA applications/tools and maintaining licenses for QA applications/tools, and implementing any IT/Enterprise standards or policies.
Experience Required
5+ years experience in developing and managing complex system test plans.
3 years of Demonstrated success leading testing teams for projects.
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or job equivalent required.
Demonstrated results in managing high performance teams and demonstrated success in matrix management and influence environments.
Financial services or relevant industry experience preferred (some combination of Insurance or financial services, automotive services, and/or travel services)
Large-scale project or program management experience required
Knowledge of and experience with both legacy and current technical platforms and tools required
Familiar with outsourcing industry best practices, including offshore software development and management a plus
Excellent project management, consulting, negotiation and customer service skills.
