Job Description


The Java/Web Developer will participate in software development efforts for the critical product application following current J2EE standards.
Responsibilities include developing software components using technologies such as Java, and web services. Additionally, candidates will have the following qualifications:

-Proficient in OO Design and Programming
-Senior Level J2EE programmer
-Experience with iPlanet Web Server
-Experience with BEA WebLogic Application Server
-Experience in architecting solutions for Web applications
-Experience with Struts and Tiles frameworks
-Experience in developing presentation layers using JSPs, HTML, javascript etc.
-Knowledge and experience in applying industry standard Design Patterns for web application development
-Experience in developing EJBs and persistence mechanisms like CMP, JDBC.
-Experience in using unit testing frameworks like JUnit, Cactus etc. would be a plus.
-Good understanding of the various stages of an application lifecycle.
-Excellent communication, listening, analytical and problem solving skills
-Working knowledge of Oracle databases
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Sun Certified
-Hibernate knowledge and experience
-Spring knowledge and experience

Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have 5+ years software development experience with web-based solutions, 3+ years J2EE experience and 5years of overall software development experience; and will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS.
