LTA/AG Agent

Primary Responsibilities :
This is a seasonal position responsible for providing tax advice to Turbo Tax software customers.
Assists customers with state to state tax laws.
Researches tax inquiries.
Responsible for handling Audit Contacts
Respond to complex inquiries of a technical or functional nature that are not routine and require deviation from the standard screens, scripts and procedures.
Handle situations, which may require adaptation of response or extensive research according to customer response.


Qualifications :
Strong written and verbal communications
Ability to work across remote sites and communicate with other business units and programmers
Extensive knowledge of tax laws
In-depth understanding of tax concepts and processes desired
Experience preparing federal and state returns either individual (1040) or business (1120, substantial, 1065, 1041, 990, 706)
Strong computer skills (Windows XP environment)
Experience using major tax preparation software
Experience with electronic filing a plus
Enrolled Agent, CPA, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Computer Science or equivalent years working experience preferred.
Some positions require experience with depreciation schedules or managing an accounting office
Programming experience is a plus.
Knowledge of federal and GAAP depreciation rules
The ability to research the IRS code and publications, regulations, and GAAP publications
Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision and meet tight software release deadlines.
A team player, working well with other QA's and programmers under stressful conditions.
Experience providing support in a technical PC environment a plus
Advanced experience providing support for tax products a plus
