Job Description:

NWS Crystal City is located near Washington D.C. in the northern Virginia area. The office provides direct support to the Integrated Weapon Systems Naval PEO known as IWS3. In addition, local support is provided to resident Raytheon NWS employees and Raytheon visitors.


The Manager III Information Systems will be responsible for the following:

Generate and facilitate Annual IT Project/budget requirements for Crystal City

Provide Lucent/Nortel Phone switch configuration support, including audix and voicemail backups

Provide and manage the SM Program Office Crystal City with new technology enhancements to the facility

Provide encrypted video bridge and non encrypted VTC capability - organize and maintain entire VTC system

Oversee the Computer asset refresh program for all Raytheon Employees at Crystal City. Coordinate plan with Tucson IT and manage installs

Design 5 year networking plan and implementation strategies

Manage TCP/IP network configuration and Network traffic analysis

Provide Lotus Notes design and implementation

Maintain and design Windows 2003 active directory configuration and management

Oversee Network security and network management

Responsible for overall Orion and Siprnet connectivity

Manage IT Staff and monitor IT projects. Provide reports to Senior RMS Management

Manage Classified and Unclassified MGC bridge

Special Access required

Manage, design and maintain multiple Website configurations

Required Skills:
-
College Degree or Accredited technical school

-
10 - 15 years of related experience and/or training in NT networked, multi-platform environment is required.

5 - 10 years project management, supervisory or project lead experience.

Excellent project management skill with ability to coordinate technical and human resources

Ability to produce detailed, accurate technical documentation

Must be able to coordinate multiple projects concurrently

Self-motivated and adaptable to change.

Must be able to prioritize and manage time effectively as well as function with no supervision, under tight deadlines, and demonstrate initiative in problem solving

Communication skills must include ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals/technical procedures and journals, ability to write reports, business correspondence procedure manuals, and white papers

Ability to appropriately respond to complaints from customers and associates

Also required is the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, customers and associates

Must also possess extensive knowledge of interfacing comsec equipment with Video Teleconferencing Equipment, routers, and other network equipment.

Analyzes new hardware to determine its need and application in the existing or proposed system; advises on new technologies and capabilities

Monitor Network Traffic using Protocol analyzing tools

Must possess extensive knowledge of wireless access points to include WIFI security using Radius servers, mac filtering, etc..

Possess extensive knowledge of Cisco routers (implementation, route table updates, software updates) etc.


Desired Skills:
-MCSE certification preferred
-Ability to engage oneself and others in continuous learning

Required Education(including Major):

B.S. - Computer Science or Equivalent; Graduate Degree desired
