Overview:This is a mid-level Project Manager role within our Infrastructure business unit. Under general direction, the position isresponsible for the project management of enterprise wide client server projects through planning, scheduling and managing activities to meet or exceed expectations of the project scope and to ensure support of Federateds business plan. Coordinates the efforts of technical resources, support teams, vendors, and Field Services to ensure that project deliverables are met. Projects will be of intermediate complexity. Key Responsibilities:
Executes the project life cycle for moderately complex to complex client server projects to include:----Defining the projects mission and scope with guidance from management. ----Facilitating the development of the project charter document.----Preparing, monitoring, and maintaining project objectives and deliverables.----Working with the purchasing department to develop project specific software and hardware requirements for each AAF.----Developing and managing timelines that will address all project objectives and deliverables.----Managing quality performance against standards. ----Managing the expectations of the project sponsors, team members, and customers.----Achieving project objectives on time and within budget.
Identifies risk issues and understands the technical and business impacts of those issues.
Has the basic technical ability to develop a strategy approach to address identified project issues.
Participates on projects as a technical resource when required.Key Skills Required:
Minimum of 2 + years experience managing client server projects utilizing a structured project management methodolgy
Intermediate knowledge of hardware and software platforms, Windows system administration and operations, system design, network operations, data center operations, and an intermediate level
Ability to anticipate the consequences of situations and react appropriately to support business needs and ensure technical quality of solutions.
Self-motivated, thorough and accurate in all aspects of work assignments. Willing to accept challenges.
Advanced level teamwork skills (e.g. positive attitude, encouraging, active listening skills, supports new ideas).
Ability to work within multiple team environments and communicate effectively across these organizations to all levels of business.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
2+ years experience in a structured application development process or client server operational support is highly desired.
Intermediate level knowledge of client server infrastructure, development process, application architecture, and the operations environment is highly desired.
Understanding of the retail business and retail systems is highly desired.
