SQA Manager

Responsibilities:


Manages the software quality testing activities of the product SQA team. Develops quality standards for Symantec products and oversees the development and execution of software test plans and analysis of test results. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the SQA test team. Develops and administers schedules. May have budget responsibilities. Takes part in all applicable product requirements inspections. Directs the day-to-day activities of the team. Ability to maintain a complex test environment to support O/S and database proliferations for NetBackup. On time delivery of all NetBackup maintenance packs and customer binaries


Creation and maintenance of project plans for all activities; Integration with other NetBackup QE departments. Yearly implementation of specific process or management improvements.








Qualifications:


Five years SQA experience; advanced knowledge of all types of software testing including black/white box testing, performance testing, and test automation procedures. Programming experience is a plus. Must be a strong team player and have management experience. BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent; management courses a plus.
