Software Engineering Directorate (

SED) is the central focus for all software development activities within IDS. More than 1200 employees of SED provide their expertise to ensure customer success through the design, development, integration, and validation of software for IDS programs.

Opportunities currently exist within SED's

Missile Defense & Surveillance Department. This department develops software for customers such as the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, U.S. Army, and U.S. Navy. These opportunities are located in Huntsville , Alabama which was recently named as the #1 city in the U.S. by salary.com in it's 2006 Salary Value survey.

Job Description: Candidate will be a member of an Integrated Product Team developing software for a Ballistic Missile Defense program. Responsibilities include software requirements analysis, design, code, unit test, and integration. Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in software development.

Required Skills: Software development experience with C++, Java, and/or Ada95. Also need to have an understanding of Object Oriented Analysis & Design.

Desired Skills: Experience with UML and Rational Rose

Required Education(including Major): BS/BA in Computer Science/Math/EE
