Job Description/Responsibilities:
Analyze requirements; design & implement solutions. Perform Systems Administrator function in heterogeneous technical environments that include: Linux, Solaris, HPUX, IRIX, NAS, SAN, GRID, data centers, tiered storage, and network communication protocols including TCP/IP, with understanding of data fabrics such as Infiniband. Participate in planning, designing, and implementation of new systems within the infrastructure. Responsible for project and technical leadership of infrastructure projects to ensure that business goals and objectives of program or functional areas are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Ensures that daily tasks are completed as scheduled and reports results to business customers/programs and functional organizations. Works closely with customers, IT Centers, business technologists, and others to understand and prioritize business goals, develop new technology strategies and satisfy information needs. Participates in the development of Program Services & Support Center priorities, and help determine time frame and procedures for accomplishing requirements. Communicate and develop status reports to business points of contact. Assist peers by training and mentoring while focusing on team success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
o 6-8 years experience
o Minimum Degree: B.S. or equivalent experience
o Majors: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems, Engineering
o Excellent verbal and written communications skills
o Knowledge and experience using an Information Technology project lifecycle
o Understanding of a wide spectrum of information technology disciplines
o Minimum 2 years Project Leadership, Management or Project Management experience in an Information Technology domain
o Experience providing technical and leadership skills in simultaneous initiatives of a fast-paced environment
o Documentation and presentation skills

Required Technical Skills:
o Hands on experience with various technologies and skills including: Linux, UNIX, security and system hardening, DMZ integration, systems integration, advanced troubleshooting and authentication/authorization services.
o UNIX ( Sun, SGI,HP and Linux ) experience in a medium to high complexity environments
o Working experience with UNIX system administrator tools, UNIX shell scripts and at least one scripting language (e.g. Perl)
o Clustering, Patching, Configuration Management and Configuration Control methodologies
o Experience in implementing and documenting systems for high bandwidth production environments
o Excellent troubleshooting skill; ability to understand and communicate complex relationships between components of the overall systems architecture
o Solid knowledge of operating system internals, file system structures and machine architectures
o Ability to monitor, analyze, test and tune the operating system
o Broad knowledge of networking and networking applications

Desired Technical Knowledge:
o RedHat Enterprise Linux
o Experience with MPI libraries and compilers
o Experience with enterprise clusters
o Experience with Network Appliance systems
o Other industry certifications
o Experience can be substituted for educational requirements
Security Clearance :
Secret clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship required for purposes of ITAR access and obtaining clearances.
Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD
