Staff Hardware Engineer (Wireless)

A growing company in Tucson, AZ is looking for candidates nationwide willing to relocate to the Tucson, AZ area. The chosen candidate will act as an engineering expert in wireless technologies devices. Develop high level customer system requirements and internally derived product design and test requirements. Actively participate in hardware design reviews with development team, technical leads, and lead presentations. Develop system and subsystem level electrical/circuit designs and control schemes. Assist in the mentoring and training of new or junior level engineers.

Qualified candidates will have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline, and 10+ years of related experience with a degree. The ability to travel and an acceptable driving record are required, as is the ability to pass a substance abuse screening. The ability to develop system and subsystem level electrical/circuit designs and control schemes is needed. Candidates must be able to utilize configuration management and debugging tools. Experience with wireless technologies/devices is required. Experience with Wireless communications such as Bluetooth, 802.11, Antennae and/or GPS are desired. Experience with vehicle OBD/scan tool functionality is a plus.
