Systems Analyst 2

Key ResponsibilitiesWill work on the Production Team. Requires experience with and knowledge of large scale LAN/WAN networks. Individual will work in a Communication Control Center and will remotely manage network security devices in U.S. Government data centers. The primary role for the Production Team Network Technician is responsible for the health and welfare monitoring and troubleshooting of the network equipment and systems in and supporting the DISA Defense Enterprise Computing Center (Data Center) production LAN/WAN networks. A Production Team member will configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, Premise Cisco and Juniper routers, Cisco Catalyst LAN switches, Cisco Content Switches, etc. They will configure premise router ACLs Policy Based Routing, VPN tunnels, and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF. They will configure LAN switch interfaces for pc and server connectivity, VLANs, VTP, 802.1q trunking, etherchannel, layer 3 routing, etc. Production team members are responsible for configuration and troubleshooting content switches for load balancing, SSL acceleration, etc. Team members will monitor health of the network utilizing such tools as HP Openview, MRTG, syslogs, etc. Secondary responsibilities may include DNS management, firewall management, SNA network management, Circuit management.
Critical Technical & Behavioral Skills/QualificationsPosition requires experience with any/all of the following: Juniper routers, Cisco 7100, 7200, 7500 routers, Cisco Catalyst 6500, 4500, 3550 LAN switches, Cisco Content Services Switch, F5 BigIP, F5 3DNS, Foundry LAN switches, Cisco PIX, Cisco FWSM, Sidewinder Firewalls, Inkra firewalls, Cyberguard firewalls, Secure ACS TACACS/Radius Server and Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) configurations, Cisco IOS and CatOS, HP Openview Network Node Manager (NNM), Multi Router Traffic Generators (MRTG), CiscoWorks. Experience with Unix, PHP and PERL scripting, and/or Cisco certifications are a plus.
