Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position is responsible for Pre sale and or Post sale technical support of IGT Gaming Systems. Provides technical support of sales presentations, product demonstrations, builds, installations and maintenance of IGT Gaming Systems. This technical support is to include but not limited to all components of IGT Gaming Systems and ensuring systems are functioning according to specifications. Provide support and consultation to software development engineers, perspective and existing users. This position will interact directly with Customers, Users, Integration Engineering, Casino Services and the Technical Assistance Center to ensure customer sastisfaction during installation, go live and on-going service during maintenance periods. This position will be required to be on call as assigned. Responsible for other duties as may be assigned by management. May create reports and data analysis tools using native report writers and third party database tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A thorough working knowledge of PC operating systems( i.e. MS DOS, Windows ) and MS Office suite is required. Technical support experience is preferred. Microsoft, Unix (IBM AIX), relational database (Progress, MS SQL) or other technical certifications are also preffered. Good written and verbal skills are critical. Applicant must be able to effectively troubleshoot, verbalize and document solutions to difficult network, software and hardware issues. One to two years gaming industry experience is preferred. This real-time support environment is challenging, dynamic and requires the ability to multi-task. Frequent and extended travel mandatory based on business needs. Success in this position requires a professional level of knowledge and will utilize the skills usually attained from a computer science degree (four year degree) or directly related experience. This position is eligible for relocation expenses. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly. Must be able to stand a full shift. Must be able to work overtime. Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to obtain a gaming card upon employment. Must have a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record. A security investigation will be conducted.
