In this role, the applicant will be responsible for doing month end billing monitoring and validation, data analysis to reconsile billing events with invoices and support month-end reconciliation for financials in support of key Covad business functions. Analysis will be done to determine software enhancements needed to deliver a billing platform of the highest quality.





Responsibilities:


Lead IS project resources and have overall ownership of project delivery.

Define project schedules, resource allocations, project dependencies, and schedule risks.

Estimate project time lines and resource needs based on requirements gathered in Use Case format, and detailed designs.

Communicate project status and tradeoffs to business owners.

Track and communicate key project deliverables, challenges and decisions.

Track action items, open issues and assignments for each.

Define and own communication plans.

Experience as a data analyst for medium or large companies. Telecommunication background preferred.

Strong background in Billing reconciliation, Revenue Recognition and Financial reports.

Accountable for the quality and effectiveness of Covad system/application solutions by partnering with business unit representatives in Finance to understand and translate requirements into technology solutions.

Works with business unit representatives to define business requirements, that fit within planned architecture and component set. Produces descriptive and technical documentation according to standards.

Project Management experience is a plus. driving business requirements and expectations, and technical impact analysis.

Experience managing projects, leading technical design and implementation.

Preferable experience in the telecommunications industry or working with the technologies used by the telecommunications industry

Experience with end user billing in a voice telecommunications environment a plus.


Qualifications:


Hands-On experience writing SQL queries in Oracle.

Good problem solving skills

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Strong presentation skills

Ability to work well on a team

Understand the technical and business aspects of both short- and long-term initiatives and drive the planning, requirements and development process, recommending necessary trade-offs to ensure delivery.

Bridge the gap between end-user needs and Covad systems and engineering capabilities.

Strong analytical skill and attention to detail

Ability to work independently on numerous activities and prioritize them properly while meeting deadlines.

Knowledge of functional business process mapping and use case development.

Experience with Infranet (Portal Software product)

Excellent skils using Excel and Access.

Telecomm industry or IT Telecomm experience is a plus.

Experience with MS office suite.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

3-5 years Business Analysis experience, familiarity with PMI processes a plus.

BS required, Master's a plus combining technical and business disciplines (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Info Systems, MBA, Finance, Accounting, or related fields)
