Kyocera Wireless is looking for a Configuration Management, Senior Manager to run our Configuration Management team in San Diego, CA.


SUMMARY:
Provides project configuration management support to include implementation and monitoring of configuration management activities, exercising configuration control over project documentation and reviewing and tracking proposed configuration changes. Manages activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.




REQUIREMENTS:



Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related area


8+ years related experience


Candidate must have mastered the current skill set requirements, must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, have demonstrated the initiative to expand into new roles and the initiative to assume the increased responsibilities of the next higher position


Excellent oral and written communication skills


Fundamental understanding of engineering documentation requirements


An understanding of CM Best Practices


Working knowledge of common computer tools


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification and change control


Provides assistance to Engineering in determining the documentation requirements and Product Structure on developing programs


Leads and continues to enhance, automate and integrate the build process for a set of mission critical applications


Evaluates existing comprehensive project requirements and implementation strategies, both for improved and new tools


Assembles the application components and executing the jobs necessary to support testing activities


Works closely with the Development Team, assisting in identifying and resolving complex technical issues

Poor decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities
