Summary: Oversee the management of the Data Center and Network Infrastructure Department which includes all aspects of the Data Center operations, telecommunications, LAN, WAN and desktops. Responsible for planning the research, evaluation, and integration of new technology and for providing service and support to the company through the various infrastructure systems that are in place. Manage the resolution of technical issues and keep abreast of the latest technologies and ensure that the infrastructure is current and scaleable. Maintain and enhance data center operations. Provide vision, strategy, leadership and daily management for the Data Center and Network Infrastructure Department. Requirements: 15 years industry experience required with 7 in a managerial capacity. Also requires experience with relational databases and architectures and solid experience with network technologies that consist of a multi-platform (NT, UNIX, LINUX) operating system; proven ability to manage and track complex projects and familiarity with infrastructure methodologies and best practices. Strong background in network administration and data center operation, design/maintenance in a production Internet environment is required. Knowledge and understanding of internet security and security software. Proficiency with Microsoft, NT, CISCO, Windows 2000 and other technologies, servers and systems. Understanding of client-server and relational data base technology. The position requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Education: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
