Our client is a large telecommunications company looking for Tech's with RF, AC/DC, and Wireless experience. Positions are available in the following:

JOB TITLE Field Operations Technicians I


JOB GRADE Skilled - Non Exempt





POSITION SUMMARY


Receive, analyze, monitor and resolve problems within the wireless network in a timely manner with minimal guidance from higher level technicians or supervisor.





KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Consistently demonstrate proficiency in all duties of a Field Operations Technician I.


Resolve problems through interaction with internal and external groups as needed.


Identify and resolve customer access issues.


Instruct and assist Field Operations Technician I in the performance of routine tasks.


Able to perform job duties without direct supervision during off-shifts.


Develop communication strength, leadership abilities and expert technical skills.


Consistently meet expectations with regards to behavioral and administrative facets of the position


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE


Required:


Typically filled by individuals with:


Specialized advanced vocational skills acquired on or off the job, typically gained through a combination of education and relevant technical experience, totaling 4 years post-high school or equivalent.


Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful and demanding work environment.


Ability to exercise flexibility and resourcefulness (with assistance from others) in challenging and/or perplexing situations.


Able to document trouble conditions and corrective actions accurately, clearly and concisely in trouble-reporting system.


Ability to work various shifts and be on call as required.


Ability to identify all colors associated with telecommunications cable and equipment indicator lights.


Basic computer skills.


A valid driver's license and the ability to drive long distances on and off road and to tow trailers. A CDL classification may be required for some vehicles.


Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.


Ability to climb ladders and steep staircases.


Ability to work in remote and challenging locations including, but not limited to: rooftops, vaults, and all types of geographic locations.


The dexterity to connect and disconnect various sizes and types of electronic connectors.


Preferred: Typically filled by individuals with:


Very good oral and written communications skills.


Good analytical skills and attention to detail.


Familiarity with field operations specific trouble ticket and network database systems.


Previous experience working wireless networking system
