Job Description:





Field Tech Intern: T-Mobile USA, Inc., a fast-growing national wireless telecommunications provider, seeks three Field Tech Interns to provide support to the Field Operations group. Field Technicians make up the maintenance team, which maintains the T-Mobile nationwide cellular network. We need independent problem-solvers with street smarts and tech know-how to work on-site in San Francisco, California.





Responsibilities:




Our tough and talented Field Technicians are asked to:


§ Work with technicians on hardware deployed in the field


§ Coordinate the scheduling of work and shifts to accommodate the workload


§ Isolate and resolve complex issues at the RBS cell sites with patience and ease


§ Troubleshoot routine preventative maintenance to insure equipment is up to par in case


§ of emergency


§ Work with various equipment vendors, test equipment, and T-Mobile Network Operations Center personnel.





Qualifications:





We are looking for students with courseware that deals with circuitry, computers, or electrical engineering. Applicants should have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as computer proficiency. Must be able to work effectively in an unsupervised environment. Work will be performed outdoors regardless of weather. Good physical condition: able to carry heavy equipment, will be climbing flights of stairs to work locations. Must be a self-starter. A clean driving record is a necessity.

This internship is located in Concord/San Francisco, CA. No relocation is offered for internships. Candidates must be currently enrolled or have graduated within the past 6 months to be eligible for an internship position.
