Sr. Lead Mechanical Engineer - Outdoor Cabinets'/Enclosures

The company is developing a new product line and will immediately hire a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with the proper drive and experience.

Please come and Lead the design and delivery of product requirements of this company's Device Cabinet. Please have the solid drive and enthusiasm necessary to take on a project like this.

Some of the key requirments include the followiing:




Central Office Design Experience: Experience with low volume, complex, highly reliable and robust designs with and without forced air cooling.

Outdoor Equipment Design Experience: Experience designing complex, highly reliable and robust outdoor products, with focus on weather-proofing, solar-proofing and dissipation of heat without forced air cooling.

Product Experience: Experience designing products in the datacom and telecom space. Hands on experience with thermally optimized designs, and EMI containment techniques. Desirable to have experience with cPCI based platforms, customer premise equipment, wireless, satellite, cable television, cellular or similar systems. Experience designing housings, heat sinks, carriers, sheet metal designs and FRUs. Experience with common mechanical tolerances for repeatable, high manufacturing yield solutions.

Regulatory Experience: Experience meeting FCC and ETSI regulatory requirements for unintentional emissions, intentional emissions and safety.

Thermal Experience: Experience with thermally challenging designs. Knowledge of Telcordia requirements such as GR487, and IEC Requirements such as IP 55 and IP 67. Experience using thermal chambers, thermal couplers and thermal imaging.

Design Tools: Hands on experience with parametric 3D modeling tools such as Solid Works or ProE. Experience with Solid Works is preferred.

Thermal Modeling Tools: Experience working with CFD thermal modeling solutions, such as Icepak or FloTherm.Office Tools: Hands on experience using MS Office tools, such as Word, Excel and Project. Experience with Agile data bases is preferred. Some knowledge of Oracle is desirable. Experience with PDM Works for managing files.
