Job Description


As Inventory Specialist I you are the on-site member of the Logistics Team. You will be responsible for implementing company inventory/instrument policy and procedure on a territory level. This includes minimizing inventory/instrument investment as well as maintaining accurate records of product placements, good working knowledge of company products, operating systems and procedures is critical. You must be considered a valuable resource to the District Sales Manager. You will have the following below as additional duties:

>Achieve company asset investment goals as related to inventory and instruments.

>Maintain compliance with Smith & Nephew Standard Operating Procedures.

>Reviews instrument and inventory performance with District Sales Manager.

>Ensures that consignments are verified twice annually and maintain accurate IAP records.

>Recommends adjustments to inventory/instrument levels to maximize performance.



Required Skills

You will need:


>Bachelors Degree with emphasis in Logistics Management, Operations Management, or Accounting; or an appropriate combination of education.
>Five (5) years experience in Inventory, Materials Management, Customer Service, Distribution, Accounting, Financial Analysis, or related fields.

>Window Office Suite required-Windows, Word, Excel, Internet Explore and Email. Access (or other relational database) is a plus.

>Experience in a production planning, inventory management or customer service system is required.
