Description:
Responsibilities may include implementation and support of the company's Operational Excellence Management System (Management System) including security, environment, safety and quality assurance programs. May establish security policies and procedures for contraband and cargo loss prevention. Implements an effective safety and environmental management system that is documented and satisfies regulatory and customer requirements. Performs Management System audits and incident investigations and ensures implementation of effective corrective actions and continual improvement in business processes. Manages emergency response to oil and hazardous material releases and remediation of contaminated property. May administer hazardous materials handling technical support as required by business units. May administer the U.S. Customs Super Carrier Initiative Agreement compliance program. May assist with the administering the company's internal auditing system.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in marine engineering/transportation, occupational safety and health, or environmental engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience in maritime, transportation or environmental industry safety and environmental compliance and quality assurance programs.
